The Wash House is in Roughton, Norfolk. It's a converted barn on a single floor, so no stairs to worry about. It's detached and sits in the grounds of our main house, but it's very private. You get a good view over the fields from the back.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. It's a spacious, open-plan sort of place.
You're about two miles from the coast. Cromer is the nearest proper seaside town, it’s got a sandy beach, a pier, and the usual shops and places to eat. The coast road goes east and west from there, so you can easily visit other beaches like Overstrand or Mundesley.
It's a good spot for getting to things. The Norfolk Broads are about half an hour's drive if you fancy a boat trip. There are National Trust places nearby too, like Blickling Hall. Norwich is under an hour for museums and the cathedral.
Facilities are all there: woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Plenty of parking. The garden is yours to use. No pets, I'm afraid.
There's a shop and a pub about half a mile down the road in the village. For broader planning, Visit Norfolk and the National Trust Norfolk pages are useful.
