Hay Loft is in Gresham, Norfolk. It's an old flint barn we converted, in our place's grounds. We've got about four and a half acres here. You'll see our house, it's just across the yard.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable. The conversion means the ceiling is high and the stairs up to the mezzanine bedroom are quite steep. You should be fine on them if you're steady on your feet.
It's very rural. You're down a winding lane and then our own drive, so it's quiet. You get the sound of the birds and not much else. The lanes around here are good for walking or cycling. Cycle Route 30 goes past the top of the drive.
Sheringham's about four miles away. That's got the sandy beach, the steam railway, and a leisure centre called The Splash. Cromer is the other way, also about four miles. That's got the pier and the theatre. The town of Holt is five miles inland. It's a nice place to wander around the shops.
For a day out, the coast path is good. The bird reserves at Cley and Morston are a short drive. You can get a boat from Morston or Blakeney out to see the seals. There are a couple of National Trust places nearby: Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park.
For facilities, it's got a woodburner, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are provided. There's parking right outside and an electric car charger. There's a highchair and a cot if you need one. No pets, sorry. The nearest shop and pub are two miles away in the village.
