Fisherman's Cottage
Fisherman's Cottage is on Cliff Road in Sheringham. It's a small terraced house, but it goes up three floors. So it feels bigger inside than it looks from the street.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. One is a wet room on the ground floor next to a bedroom.
The big thing is the location. You're about a minute's walk from the sea. You can see a sliver of it from the top front windows. The high street and the pubs are the same distance the other way.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up inside. The quirk is the stairs. They're spiral stairs. And they're quite steep. You get used to them, but you need to take care.
Sheringham itself is a proper seaside town. There's a good beach, an indoor pool, and a high street with independent shops. The North Norfolk Railway steam trains run from here. Sheringham Park is just outside town for walks.
Within about half an hour you've got Cromer, with its pier and promenade. The RSPB Cley Marshes are a fifteen minute drive for birdwatching. Holkham and Blakeney are a bit further. Norwich is about forty minutes by car or you can get the train from Sheringham.
Facilities: there's a woodburning stove, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. It's pet friendly, for up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
