Chalk Reef House

This is Chalk Reef House. It's in Sheringham, on the Norfolk coast. It's a big Victorian house that sleeps thirteen people.

It's got six bedrooms. Four have a double bed, two have singles. Three of those bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom. There's another shower room downstairs too. So there are plenty of bathrooms for a big group.

It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well equipped and maintained. The ceilings are high, which gives it a spacious feel. The owner has used rails instead of wardrobes, so the bedrooms don't feel cluttered.

Downstairs, there are two places to eat. There's a formal dining room and a conservatory. The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine. There's a woodburning stove for colder evenings.

You've got a patio and garden area. There's on-site parking, which is a relief in Sheringham. The front door is wheelchair accessible.

The house is about 400 yards from the beach. It's a mix of sand and shingle. The North Norfolk Coastal Path runs east and west from the town, right past the end of the road.

Sheringham itself is about five minutes' walk. There's a shop, pubs, and restaurants. It's a proper seaside town. It has the North Norfolk Railway for steam train trips.

Within about half an hour's drive, you've got a few National Trust places if that's your thing. Felbrigg Hall is close, and Blickling Estate is a bit further. Cromer is along the coast one way, with its pier. Wells-next-the-Sea is the other way, with the beach huts and pine woods.

Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair. There's WiFi. No pets, I'm afraid.
