The Hideaway is exactly that. It's a small bungalow, detached, down a quiet lane behind the main streets in Sheringham. Sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a four-star rating, so it's all there, modern and clean.
The big thing is the location. You're a five-minute walk from the beach, and maybe a minute more to the town. The beach is shingle and sand when the tide's out. The town has the usual seaside shops and a lot of good places to eat. Two or three really good ones. There's a pub close by, about 250 yards, which does food.
The bungalow is all on one level. No steps. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you bring a dog. You can bring one dog, by the way.
Inside, it's open plan. Living room and kitchen together. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair too, if you need them.
Sheringham Park is just outside town. It's National Trust. Great for walks. The North Norfolk Railway steam trains run from Sheringham up the coast to Holt. The cliff top golf course is very good, I'm told.
If you want to drive, you're on the coast road. Cromer is about ten minutes south. Blakeney and Cley are maybe twenty minutes north for the marshes and birdwatching. The Norfolk Coast National Landscape site is good for planning walks. The Thursford Collection is about half an hour inland. For a wider view, Visit Norfolk has everything listed.
