Primrose Cottage

Primrose Cottage is in Gresham, which is inland from the Norfolk coast. It's one of a row of three Victorian cottages, built from flint and brick. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The cottage has original features like exposed beams and some old floorboards. There's a woodburning stove, which is handy in the cooler months. The garden is enclosed. It's a good spot to sit and watch the birds.

There's a public footpath and a cycle route that start right outside the door. The coast is about four and a half miles away. The nearest proper towns are Sheringham and Cromer, both within a five to ten minute drive. They've got all the usual seaside things: beaches, shops, cafes, and crab boats. Cromer has a pier and a lifeboat museum. Sheringham has the steam railway.

You're in North Norfolk, so the big skies and coastal walks are the main draw. The Norfolk Coast is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can walk to Blakeney Point to see the seals, but it's a long trek or you need to take a boat trip from Morston or Blakeney itself.

Further afield, within about half an hour's drive, you've got the Blickling Estate and Sandringham. The local pub and restaurant is about a mile and a half away.

Facilities: there's parking for two cars, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
