Heather Cottage is ours, and it's in Thorpe Market. That's in a part of Norfolk that's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's quiet countryside here.
The cottage itself sleeps four. Two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. It's attached to one side of our house, but it's completely separate for you. You get your own front door and an enclosed garden with a lawn.
We accept up to two dogs. There's a kennel and a small exercise run outside the back, which some people find useful.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It's got the things you'd expect: a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside.
The coast is about five miles away. That's places like Cromer and Sheringham, with proper beaches and piers. The Norfolk Coast Path is there for long walks. For birdwatching, you've got RSPB reserves like North Foreland not far.
There's a shop about a fifteen minute walk away. The nearest pub is about a mile, in the village of Southrepps. For a bigger shop, North Walsham is ten minutes by car.
Felbrigg Hall, the National Trust place, is only three miles away. It's a good day out. You can get to the Broads for boating, or into Norwich for the city, both in about forty minutes driving.
If you like walking or cycling, you can step straight out from the cottage onto paths. You don't need to get in the car.
