Driftwood House

Driftwood House is in Mundesley on the Norfolk coast. It’s a detached house, so no one next door. You get a garden and a patio. The beach is about a five minute walk.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. The rating is 5 Star, so everything is in good order and well-finished. It’s all on one level, so that’s good if stairs are an issue.

It’s got a hot tub in the garden. There’s also a multi-fuel stove. That’s handy if you’re here when it’s cooler.

The village is quiet. There’s a shop, a couple of pubs, and places to eat all within a few hundred yards. The beach is sandy. People seem to like it.

Cromer is about ten miles west. They’ve got a pier and crab is the thing to get there. Happisburgh is a few miles east. It’s known for the lighthouse.

If you drive inland, you can be at the edge of the Norfolk Broads in under half an hour. Norwich is about twenty five miles. It’s a proper city with the cathedral and a castle.

For walks and other places, it’s worth looking at the National Trust for Norfolk and the Norfolk Coast Partnership site. They’ve got good maps and information.

Facilities wise: it’s got parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
