The Officer's House

The Officer's House is the last one in the terrace on Beach Road in Keswick, near Bacton. It's detached, with a walled garden. It's old, from the 1650s, and was a coastguard's house. The beach is a three-minute walk away.

It sleeps twelve, which is six bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. It has the things you'd expect from an old house: low beams in some doorways, and the floors are uneven in places. The stairs are a typical old cottage staircase.

The garden is enclosed. There's a little playhouse for kids. The facilities are what you'd need: parking, WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding is included. You can bring two dogs.

The local shop is very close, and the pub is a few minutes' walk. Bacton Woods is nearby for walks. For golf, Royal Cromer is a short drive. Mundesley village is a couple of miles along the coast.

Cromer and Sheringham are about a twenty-minute drive. Sheringham has the North Norfolk Railway steam trains. The Norfolk Broads are about eight miles away for boat hire. Great Yarmouth is further, about forty minutes by car.
