West Cottage
This is West Cottage in Lessingham. It's on the Norfolk coast, about half an hour from Norwich. The cottage is one of a pair, but it's self-contained. You get the enclosed garden to yourselves.
It sleeps three people. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not just a basic box. It's got a wood burning stove, which is good for cooler evenings. There's parking right outside.
The stairs are a bit steep and narrow. That's just how it is. The WiFi works fine.
The village is quiet. There's a pub about a five minute walk away. The nearest shop is in the next village, about three miles.
You can see the Happisburgh lighthouse from the upstairs windows. It's about three miles away down the lanes. The coast is close. Sea Palling beach is a few minutes drive north. It's a long, sandy beach. Heading south, Horsey is where the seals are. You can often see them on the beach, especially in the winter when the pups are born.
Inland, Hickling Broad is nearby. You can walk around it or hire a boat. East Ruston Vicarage Gardens are about two miles away, if you like that sort of thing.
Norwich is about a 30 minute drive. It's a good city day out. It has the cathedral, a castle museum, and decent shops.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. All bedding and towels are included.
