The Dairy

The Dairy is on our farm in Hickling. It's one of a few converted barns here. They're old buildings, but we've done them up inside so they're warm and comfortable. You have your own bit of garden with a table and chairs, and parking right outside.

It sleeps two. One bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Everything is on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about. It's got a five star rating, which means it's well equipped and finished to a high standard. You can bring up to two dogs.

There's a caravan club site on another part of the meadow, but it's separate and you won't really notice it.

Hickling Broad is just down the lane. It's a nature reserve, part of the Norfolk Broads. You can walk there easily. Good for birdwatching and they do boat hire if you fancy a trip out on the water.

The beach is about three miles away, at Sea Palling and Waxham. The sand is good and you often see seals. Horsey Gap is another good spot for seal watching, a short drive up the coast.

For a day out, you've got the coast or you can go into Norwich. That's about half an hour's drive. It's a proper city with a castle, cathedral, shops, and the market. Wroxham is closer, they call it the capital of the Broads. You can get river trips from there.

There are a couple of National Trust houses nearby if that's your thing: Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall.

In the village, there are two pubs that serve food. One has a small shop attached. Both are walkable.

The place has wifi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine, and an electric vehicle charger. All bedding and towels are included.
