The Mill is an old black windmill from the 1820s. It's a tower. We're near Ludham in the Norfolk Broads.
It's on three floors and sleeps three. Two bedrooms and a bathroom. One double on the first floor and a single with a pull-out trundle at the top. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and looked after. The stairs are the original spiral ones, so they're quite tight and steep. Because of the stairs and the height, it's not suitable for young children.
You get a private lawned garden next to the mill. The owner's house is also on the grounds, but it's separate. There's a big meadow you can walk through. The path at the end of the lane goes down to the River Ant. Opposite is the How Hill Trust, which is good for nature trails.
Ludham village is a few minutes drive. There's a pub, a shop, a butcher, and a tea room. Womack Water is nearby and nice for watching the boats. You can hire boats there too.
Wroxham is about twenty minutes by car. That's where you'll find the main boat hire places, a supermarket, and more shops. Norwich is about half an hour away for a proper city day out. The coast at Sea Palling is about nine miles, so it’s a easy drive for the beach.
It's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking on site.
For planning, the National Trust for Norfolk and the Broads Authority sites are useful.
