Ferry Cottage is in Cess, Norfolk, on the River Thurne. It's a detached cottage, and everything's on the ground floor. It looks right out over the water and the marshes. You've got your own private mooring if you bring a boat.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and they each have their own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner.
The main room is open plan, with the kitchen, dining and sitting area together. The view is the main thing. There's a table outside as well.
It's a quiet spot. The local shop and pub are about a mile away in the village. The nearest bigger beach is at Winterton-on-Sea, about a ten minute drive. It's sandy and the seals are often there.
If you want to get out on the water, you can hire a boat from us directly. The Broads are right there for fishing or just pottering about. For walks, the area is flat with lots of quiet lanes. Horsey Windpump is very close.
The facilities are all here: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
For days out, Norwich is about half an hour away for shops and the cathedral. There are several National Trust places nearby like Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall. For kids, BeWILDerwood at Horning is a 20 minute drive.
