Captain's Cottage is in Winterton on Sea. It's a thatched cottage, detached, so you're not sharing any walls. It's on a quiet road just round the corner from the pub.
It sleeps six people, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. One bathroom is downstairs. It's got a 5 Star rating, so the finishes are smart and everything is in good order.
The beach is a ten-minute walk away. It's a sandy beach with big dunes behind it. You often see seals from the shore, especially if you walk north towards Horsey. The dunes are part of a nature reserve, so it's good for walks and birdwatching.
There's a pub about a minute's walk away, which does food. The shop is a couple of minutes in the other direction.
If you want to go out for the day, Great Yarmouth is about nine miles away for the classic seaside stuff. The Norfolk Broads start about six miles inland. You can hire boats at places like Potter Heigham or Wroxham. Norwich is a good half-hour drive, maybe a bit more. It's got the cathedral, the castle museum, and all the shops.
For things to do in the area, the National Trust East Anglia page has details on nearby places like Horsey Windpump. The Norfolk Broads website is useful for boating and walking information.
At the cottage, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. The garden is enclosed. Parking is on the driveway. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
