Granary
The Granary is in Smallburgh, which is near the Norfolk Broads. It's a single-level barn conversion. There are no stairs at all inside, which is good if you have mobility issues or just don't fancy them.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom and the place is 4 Star rated, so it's well done. Three of the beds are singles. You can bring up to two dogs.
The main thing here is you get shared access to an indoor heated swimming pool and a games room. You have to book the pool by the hour, so it's private when you use it. The games room has table tennis, pool, a sofa, and a TV with DVDs.
Outside, there's a private, enclosed courtyard with a barbecue and furniture. It's south facing, so the sun is on it most of the day.
The location is rural, but you can drive to Wroxham in about 11 minutes. That's where you go for boating on the Broads, hiring canoes, and things like that. The Broads Authority site has all the details for that. Wroxham Barns is a few minutes away. It's a craft centre with shops and a little farm park for kids.
If you want the beach, Sea Palling is about 18 minutes away. It's a sandy beach with dunes. Other places like Cromer and Sheringham are within half an hour. Up that way, you can also do seal trips from Blakeney or Morston.
Norwich is about a 25 minute drive for shopping, the cathedral, or the castle museum. For National Trust places, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are both within easy reach.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect. Wi-Fi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's also a cot and highchair if needed. Parking is on site.
