Lucky Duck Cottage is in Great Hautbois, Norfolk. It's one of those old brick and flint places. As the name suggests, it's opposite the village duck pond.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and two bathrooms, which is useful. One is on the ground floor and the whole place is wheelchair accessible. The stairs aren't steep like some cottages.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There's a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. The garden at the back is enclosed, with a patio and seating. You can bring up to two dogs.
The village itself is quiet. You've got a few pubs and places to eat about three-quarters of a mile away, so a short walk or a very quick drive. Coltishall is a couple of minutes down the road. That's where the River Bure is, with a village green and moorings if you have a boat. You can fish from the bank there.
Wroxham is about four miles. That's where you can hire day boats to go out on the Broads. The Bure Valley Steam Railway stops at Coltishall and goes to Wroxham and Aylsham. Wroxham Barns, just outside, has crafts, a farm, and a play area for kids.
The coast is within half an hour. Mundesley, Happisburgh, and Sea Palling are all proper sandy beaches with the usual seaside things.
Norwich is a twenty-minute drive. It's a city, so it's got the cathedral, the castle museum, shops, and plenty of places to eat.
If you want organized days out, there's the Dinosaur Adventure Park, BeWILDerwood, Banham Zoo, and Thrigby Hall. For walks, the National Trust has some big estates nearby like Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. There are lots of footpaths and cycling routes around the Broads too.
Parking is on site. That's about it.
