Kingfisher Lodge

Kingfisher Lodge is in Hainford, Norfolk. It's one of two lodges next to a private lake. The view from the big window is of the water. It's very quiet.

It sleeps two, in one bedroom. There are two bathrooms, both with a walk-in shower. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and modern. The whole site is about three acres, with two fishing lakes. You're welcome to walk around them. You can fish if you want, it's by invitation only so it's never crowded. There's a shed to put your gear in.

The place is good if you use a wheelchair. There's level access and the parking is right by the door.

Inside, it's got a washing machine, TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. The utilities are in the price.

There's a pub and a restaurant about three quarters of a mile up the road. The nearest shop is four miles away, so you'll want to drive.

For things to do, you're quite central. Norwich is seven miles for shopping or the cathedral. The Norfolk Broads start about six miles away at Wroxham, where you can hire a boat. The coast is about sixteen miles. Cromer is a half hour drive, it's a traditional seaside town with a pier and beach.

Two National Trust places are close by: Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. The Bure Valley steam railway runs from Aylsham, which is also six miles away.

No pets, I'm afraid.
