Kingfisher Lodge
Kingfisher Lodge is in Hainford. It’s a barn conversion by a lake. Not huge lakes, but two decent fishing lakes on a three acre site. The view from the main window is just water and trees.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, two bathrooms. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and everything works. It’s all on one level, and the doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair.
You can fish in the lakes if you want. They’re private, so you won’t see many other people out there. There’s a shed to keep your gear in. Mostly it’s just quiet. You get birds and that.
There’s a local pub and restaurant about three quarters of a mile up the road. The nearest shop is in Spixworth, about four miles.
Norwich is seven miles east. You can get everything there. The cathedral is good. The Norfolk Broads are about six miles away, so you can be in Wroxham for a boat trip pretty quickly. The coast at Sea Palling or Happisburgh is about sixteen miles, maybe half an hour. Cromer is a bit further, maybe thirty minutes.
Aylsham is six miles north. The Bure Valley Railway runs from there to Wroxham. If you like National Trust houses, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are both nearby.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, washing machine, TV. Parking is right outside. No pets allowed.
