Woodpecker Horsford

This is the Woodpecker cottage in Horsford. It’s a one-bed cottage for two people. There's a couple of others next to it, but you’ve got your own bit out the back.

It’s got a 4 Star rating. That means it’s been done up nicely and is well looked after. Everything's clean and works. The shower is a walk-in one.

You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed so they can’t wander off. There’s a washing machine, which is handy with dogs, and you can store bikes.

Location wise, it’s right next to some woods. You can walk straight out onto footpaths. The Marriott's Way, which is an old railway line path, is just up the lane. It’s good for walking or cycling. Norfolk County Council has details on Marriott's Way.

Norwich city centre is about a fifteen minute drive. It’s got the cathedral, the castle museum, and all the shops. The Broads are close. Wroxham, where you can hire boats, is maybe twenty minutes away. Visit Norwich and Visit The Broads have information.

For days out, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are both National Trust places about half an hour’s drive. They’re good for a walk around the gardens. National Trust Norfolk page.

In the village, a few minutes’ walk, there’s a shop and a couple of pubs. The owners run a hotel next door and they’ll do you a cooked breakfast if you want one. You pay for that separately.
