Woodpecker

This is Woodpecker. It's a cottage near Horsford, about five miles north of Norwich city centre. The cottage is beside some woodland, on the same site as a few other cottages we run.

It sleeps two, in one bedroom. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. We accept up to two dogs.

You get your own enclosed patio area with a table and a BBQ. There's parking right outside.

The building is all on one level and the entrance has no steps, so it's suitable for a wheelchair. The shower is walk-in. The doorways are standard width.

Inside, it's clean and comfortable. There's a TV, wifi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. You can store bicycles.

You're welcome to walk around our 11 acres of farmland. A footpath from the site joins the Marriotts Way, which is a traffic-free path for walking and cycling.

There's a shop and a couple of pubs about a quarter of a mile away in the village centre.

If you want a cooked breakfast, you can get one at our hotel next door. You just need to book it the night before.

Norwich is a short drive for shops, the cathedral, and the castle museum. For the Broads, Wroxham is about seven miles away where you can hire boats. The Bure Valley Railway starts there too.

There are a few good places to visit within half an hour. Hevingham Lakes for fishing. Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens. The National Trust properties at Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are both about a 25-minute drive.
