Barley Cottage is a one bedroom apartment for two people. It's on the first floor, purpose built as a holiday let. It's in Horsford, which is just north of Norwich.
The place is set within 11 acres of its own woodlands and fields. You have your own enclosed patio area with a table and chairs. There's space to store bikes if you bring them.
Inside, it's all open plan. A living area with a sofa and TV, a kitchenette, and the double bed. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well kept. Everything you need is there: WiFi, a washing machine, bedding and towels. The shower is in the separate bathroom.
You're allowed to bring up to two dogs. It's a good spot for them with all the land.
The Marriotts Way path runs right by the property. It's 27 miles of traffic-free track for walking or cycling. A local shop is about half a mile away, and there's a pub that does food a mile down the road.
You can drive into Norwich in about 15 minutes. It's got the castle, cathedral, shops, and the market. The Norfolk Broads are maybe 40 minutes east. The north Norfolk coast, places like Cromer or Holkham, is about a 45 minute drive.
A couple of nearby National Trust places if that's your thing: Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. Both are grand old houses with good gardens.
Parking is on site, right outside.
