The Conifers

The Conifers is our bungalow on The Heath. It's detached, sleeps two, and has one bedroom and bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious.

It's at the end of a country lane. You share the entrance drive with us, and my part-time office is next to the cottage. That's it. The back garden is private and enclosed, which is good for dogs.

The main thing is the location. Our gate leads straight onto about 200 acres of heath and woodland. It's a Site of Special Scientific Interest. You'll see deer, barn owls, all sorts. It's very quiet. The lane itself is good for walks straight from the door.

Inside, it's open plan. There's a shower, not a bath. The parking is right there.

You're welcome to bring dogs. We allow up to three.

The nearest pub is about a mile and a half away. For shops, you've got Aylsham about four miles away. It has supermarkets and a weekly market.

Within about half an hour's drive, you've got lots. The north Norfolk coast is 20-30 minutes. Blakeney, Wells-next-the-Sea, and Cromer are all worth a trip. Cromer has the pier and theatre.

For a day out, Blickling Hall is close by. The Norfolk Broads are about ten miles away, around Wroxham. You can get boat trips there. Norwich is easily reached using the park and ride. The cathedral and castle are the main things to see.

For walkers and cyclists, the Marriott's Way path runs from Aylsham to Norwich. The Bure Valley Railway has a path running alongside it too.

That's about it. It's a simple place in a very peaceful spot.
