The Conifers is a bungalow on The Heath in Norfolk. It's detached. You get it to yourselves, but I have a part time office in the building next to it. The entrance drive is shared with us.
It's a three star place. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not a fancy show home. It sleeps two, with one bedroom and one bathroom with a shower. The garden at the back is enclosed and private. You can bring up to three dogs.
The big thing here is the space outside. The back gate leads straight onto about 200 acres of heath and woodland. It's a special scientific site. You'll see deer, barn owls, all sorts. There's a lake. It's very quiet. You can walk for miles right from the door.
The nearest pub is about a mile and a half away. For shops, you'd drive to Aylsham, which is four miles. They have supermarkets and a market.
For days out, the coast is about half an hour's drive. Cromer has the pier and the crab is famous. Blakeney and Wells-next-the-Sea are good for harbours and walking. Blickling Hall is a National Trust place nearby. The Norfolk Broads start at Wroxham, about ten miles away. Norwich is easy to get to using the park and ride.
For walking or cycling, the Marriott's Way path runs from Aylsham to Norwich. The Bure Valley Railway has a path alongside it too.
Inside, it's open plan. There's parking, a washing machine, and the electricity is included.
