Barn Owl Horsford

This is Barn Owl, in Horsford. It's one of two cottages next to some woodland. You're right on the edge of it. The place sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The cottage is all on the ground floor and the doorways are wide, so it's suitable if you have mobility needs. There's a walk-in shower. There's an interconnecting door to the cottage next door, Blackberry, so you can book both together if you need more space.

You've got your own enclosed garden with a patio and a barbecue. There's parking right outside. Inside, there's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and bike storage if you need it. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs.

You're on a farm with about 11 acres to wander. A footpath leads straight onto the Marriott's Way, which is good for walking or cycling. The village shop and a couple of pubs are about a five minute walk away.

Norwich city centre is about ten minutes by car. It's got the castle, the cathedral, the market, all that. For the Broads, Wroxham is seven miles away. You can hire boats there.

Other things nearby: the Bure Valley Railway starts at Aylsham. Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are both National Trust properties with big gardens. The Blickling Estate is about 20 minutes north. For a wildlife park, there's Thrigby Hall.

One other thing: the owners run a hotel next door. You can order a cooked breakfast from them if you like, which is delivered to the cottage.
