Riverside Cottage Costessey

Riverside Cottage is in Costessey, just outside Norwich. It's a single-storey, detached cottage so everything's on one level. The main thing is it has its own heated swimming pool indoors. You get that to yourselves.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom, which is a wet room. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.

The garden is enclosed and private, with a terrace and furniture. A path leads down to the river bank. You have your own bit of frontage there, with a bench to sit on. There's a rowing boat and a canoe you can use. It's very quiet, just the river and fields. You might see the odd angler go by.

Costessey village has a couple of pubs and shops about half a mile away. The golf course is nearby.

Norwich is about ten minutes' drive. It's a proper city with everything, the castle, the cathedral, good restaurants. For the Broads, you'd head to Wroxham, which is about half an hour. You can hire day boats there.

The north Norfolk coast is about forty minutes by car. Holkham beach is vast and sandy. You can see seals at Blakeney Point. National Trust North Norfolk has good information on the area. Sandringham is open to the public when the Royal Family aren't there.

In terms of facilities, pretty much everything's included: bedding, towels, WiFi, parking. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring up to two dogs.
