The Pump House is in Cawston, Norfolk. It used to be the pump house for the railway station. It's next to the old railway line, which is now a path. The owners live in the main house on the same grounds. There's also a small caravan site.
It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor. It has a 4 Star rating. The stairs into the old well are still there, but covered with a safety glass. You can look down into it.
The garden is large and enclosed. You can walk straight out onto Marriott's Way. It's a 26-mile path for walking and cycling on the old train line. Good for a flat walk.
Cawston village is a short walk away. There's a shop that's also a deli and cafe, and a pub. Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are National Trust houses nearby. Thursford has its collection and a big Christmas show.
The North Norfolk coast is about a 30 minute drive. Cromer is there, with its pier and beach. Wroxham, for the Broads, is also about 14 miles. You can hire boats there. The Bittern Line train runs from Norwich to Sheringham if you don't want to drive to the coast.
Norwich is about ten miles. It's a proper city with a cathedral, castle, shops, and the market. Aylsham is closer, about five miles, for supermarkets and a few shops. The Bure Valley Railway steam train runs from Aylsham to Wroxham.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. The shower is a walk-in. No pets.
