The Pump House is in Cawston, Norfolk. It's a one bedroom place, sleeps two. Used to be the pump house for the old railway station. It's in the grounds of the main Old Station House, where I live, and there's a small caravan site here too.
The main thing inside is the old well. It's in the floor, covered with a safety glass so you can see down into it. It's a proper feature. The whole place is on one level, which is handy.
The garden is large and enclosed. You get it to yourselves. Parking is right there.
Out the back gate, you're straight onto the old railway line. It's called Marriott's Way now. It's a 26 mile path for walking and cycling. The surface is pretty good for most of it, so it's accessible.
The village is a few minutes walk. There's a pub, a shop, and a deli that does decent coffee. For a bigger shop, Aylsham is five miles away. It's a nice market town.
If you want to get out, the coast is about half an hour's drive. Cromer has the pier and crabs. The Broads are the same sort of distance, around Wroxham. You can hire boats there.
There are a couple of big National Trust houses nearby: Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. Thursford, which does a massive Christmas show, is close too.
Norwich is about twenty minutes by car. It's got the cathedral, the castle, and all the shops you'd need.
Inside, it's got a dishwasher, TV, wifi, and a walk-in shower. All the bedding and towels are included. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. No pets, I'm afraid.
