Elm Tree Barn
So Elm Tree Barn is ours. It's out at Skeyton Corner, which is proper Norfolk countryside.
It's a barn conversion, but it's all on one floor. No stairs inside. You get there by six wide steps at the front, or just two at the back door. The walls are mostly windows, so it's bright. You get a good view of the fields and the sky.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. We've got a five star rating. It's not posh, it's just been done well and it's clean. The garden wraps around, but it's not fenced in, so something to think about if you're bringing dogs. We allow two.
There's a shop and a pub about two miles away. The lanes around here are quiet, good for walking straight from the door.
You're about half an hour from the coast. Cromer has a pier and a sandy beach. Sheringham is similar, with a steam railway, and Sheringham Park is worth a visit. Sheringham Park. Mundesley is a bit closer, maybe eight miles, and that's a nice sandy beach too.
The Broads are about the same drive, thirty minutes. Wroxham is where you hire boats. Norwich is about fourteen miles away for a day out, shops, the castle, the cathedral.
For places like Blickling Hall or the RSPB reserves at Cley, it's an easy drive. Blickling Estate. RSPB Cley Marshes.
Inside, it's open plan. Kitchen, living area, all together. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, Wifi. Parking is on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot if you need one.
