Stables

The Stables is in Smallburgh, which is central north Norfolk. It's a converted barn. Single storey, so no stairs at all. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, sleeps six. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped rather than high-end.

You've got your own enclosed courtyard garden. There's a shared games room you get private bookings for, with table tennis, pool, and a sofa area. The indoor heated swimming pool is the same story, you book an hour for your private use. Both are in the main house on the property.

The place is wheelchair accessible, from the entrance through to the wet room.

It's a rural spot. Quiet. The nearest pub doing food is about a mile and a half away. A decent supermarket is a five-mile drive.

You're well-placed for getting around. The coast at Sea Palling, which is a good sandy beach, is about 20 minutes by car. The Broads at Wroxham, where you can hire boats and so on, is just over 10 minutes away. Norwich, for the cathedral and shops, is about half an hour.

The north Norfolk coast from Blakeney upwards is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes, for seal trips and that kind of thing.

For facilities, it's got the things you'd expect: bedding and towels are included, there's a washing machine and dishwasher, Wi-Fi, TV, on-site parking. It's pet friendly, up to two dogs.
