The Brambles is in Horning, on the river. It's a thatched cottage, semi-detached. Next door is my office, where my cat lives. You won't see much of me, but the cat might wander over.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one proper bathroom upstairs, plus a ground floor wet room which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up, so it's comfortable and clean. The thatch means the ceilings are low in some doorways. You'll need to mind your head.
You've got your own parking space and a fenced garden. There's a patio with an outdoor chess board set into it. The garden gets the sun in the afternoon.
The village shop is literally next door. There's a pub about 50 yards down the road that does food. You can hire motor boats or get on a river trip from the staithe, which is a two minute walk.
For days out, Wroxham is ten minutes by car. That's where the Bure Valley Railway starts and Roy's is there, that big department store. Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall are both about half an hour's drive. Norwich is 20 minutes away if you want a cathedral or proper shopping.
The coast is about a 25 minute drive. Sea Palling and Horsey have good sandy beaches. You can see seals at Blakeney or Morston, which is maybe 40 minutes.
What's here: parking, enclosed garden, BBQ, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
