The Cattle Sheds
The Cattle Sheds is on our farm in Swafield. It's attached to our house but you have your own entrance and a completely private courtyard garden. The place sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's all on one level, so no stairs at all. That's useful if stairs are a problem, or if you've got very small children.
It's a 4 Star place. It's been done up, so it's clean and modern inside. The main room is open plan. There's a big kitchen island people tend to gather round, a dining area, and then the sofas by the TV. French doors open straight into the courtyard from the dining bit. The garden faces south, so it gets the sun.
You're in the countryside here. The beach at Mundesley is about three miles away, which is a sandy one. Cromer is about nine miles north for a proper pier and town. If you want the big beaches like Holkham or Wells-next-the-Sea, that's about an hour's drive.
For walking, you can go straight from the door onto the lanes. Bacton Woods are a 20 minute drive if you want a proper forest walk. The Norfolk Broads are about half an hour away. Wroxham is the main spot there for boat hire.
There's a shop and a pub that does food about a mile and a half away in the village. North Walsham is five miles for bigger supermarkets and a train to Norwich.
Facilities wise, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. On-site parking. You can bring up to two dogs.
