The Roost is on the edge of Sidestrand, near Northrepps. It's a brick and flint cottage, sleeps two. There are two bedrooms but they're both singles, so it's really for two friends or a couple. One bathroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The front garden is fully fenced, which is good for dogs. The back courtyard gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a wood burner. We get it going for you before you arrive and leave you a stock of logs.
It's quiet here. You're a 20 minute walk from Overstrand beach, down a path. The cliffs are dramatic. There are public footpaths right from the gate, through the woods and along the coast.
The local pub in Northrepps is about a ten minute walk. They do food. Cromer is three miles up the coast. That's where you'll find the pier, the theatre, a decent beach, and more places to eat. The crab is good.
If you want to go inland, Holt is about 20 minutes by car. It's a nice town for pottering around shops. The Norfolk Broads are roughly half an hour's drive. You can hire a boat there.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for one car on the drive. Up to two dogs are welcome. The garden is enclosed.
