Orchard Cottage is in Gresham, which is inland in North Norfolk. It's about four miles from the coast at Sheringham.
It's a converted flint farm building in the grounds of our house. We've got about four and a half acres here, so it feels quiet. You're at the end of a winding drive off a country lane. It's proper farming countryside.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. Everything is on one level, so no stairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped.
You've got your own enclosed garden area with a patio. There's space to park right outside. The cottage has a wood burning stove for cooler evenings, and there's an electric vehicle charger if you need it.
The local shop and the nearest pub are about two miles away in the village. Sheringham is a short drive. It's got a sandy beach, the Poppy Line steam train, and an indoor pool called 'The Splash'. Cromer is about the same distance the other way, with its pier and theatre.
For walking, you're on the edge of the Sheringham Park estate, which is National Trust. The coast path and the beaches are easy to get to. If you cycle, Route 30 goes right past the gate. We've got a cycle store you can use.
Further along the coast, you've got the bird reserves at Cley Marshes and Morston. You can get boat trips from there out to see the seals at Blakeney Point.
Inland, Holt is about five miles. It's a Georgian town with lots of little shops and galleries. Other National Trust places nearby are Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall, which is about a 30 minute drive.
We allow up to two dogs. All bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them, plus a washing machine and dishwasher.
