Driftwood House

Driftwood House is on a quiet side street in Sheringham. It’s a five minute walk to the beach and about the same into the town centre. The house itself is a standard terraced cottage, but it’s quite long, so it's more spacious inside than you might think from the front. You get the whole place and the garden to yourselves.

It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There’s one bathroom with a shower. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it’s well equipped and comfortable. It’s been looked after.

The main things you'd want to know: it's got a wood burning stove for cooler evenings, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. There's a fully enclosed garden with a patio and a barbecue. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's WiFi and a TV. Sorry, no pets.

Sheringham itself is a straightforward seaside town. The beach is sand and shingle. The town has a few shops, cafes, and pubs, all within walking distance. The local pub does food. The North Norfolk Railway steam trains run from here, which is a good day out if you like that sort of thing.

For walking, Sheringham Park is nearby and very good. The coastal path runs right past the town. For birdwatching, RSPB Cley Marshes is about a 20 minute drive. Blakeney, for seal trips or crabbing, is about 25 minutes away by car.

Further afield, within about 30 minutes, you have Cromer along the coast, the Blickling and Felbrigg estates if you like National Trust houses, and Wells-next-the-Sea. The Broads are about 45 minutes by car.
