Sunflower Lodge is on the Bridlington Links golf estate in Sewerby. It's a detached lodge on a quiet park, surrounded by trees and green areas. You sometimes see deer in the mornings.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. Two twins and a double with its own toilet. There's a main shower room too. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's well-equipped and maintained. Everything is on the ground floor, so no stairs.
The living space is open plan. French doors open onto a deck which is fenced in, so it's secure for a dog. You can bring one dog with you. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine in a cupboard.
The golf course is right there, and they have a bar and restaurant in the clubhouse. You can walk straight from the park into the grounds of Sewerby Hall, which is a good, easy walk. The local beach and the cliffs at Danes Dyke are about a ten minute walk away. Flamborough Head and the RSPB site at Bempton Cliffs are a short drive. You can see puffins there in season.
Bridlington itself is about two miles away. It's a proper seaside town with a harbour and a promenade. The drive from here to places like York or the North York Moors is about an hour. There's a small farm shop selling basics on the estate now too.
For planning trips, the Welcome to Yorkshire site is useful, and the RSPB page for Bempton Cliffs has the latest on what birds are around.
