Gwel An Lowarth
This is Gwel An Lowarth. It's in Treesmill, near St Austell. You turn off the main road and it's down a little lane, right in the middle of the gardens.
It's a one-bedroom place, sleeps two. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, but don't expect anything fancy. The main room has the bed, a couple of chairs, a table, and a small kitchen area along one wall. There's a proper bathroom with a bath and a shower attachment over it.
The main thing is the garden. It's three acres, and it's yours to walk around. It's quiet. You'll see birds, maybe some deer. There's a private decking area outside the front, which gets the sun. You can sit out there with a drink.
A thing to know is there's a railway line that runs along the edge of the property. You can hear the trains sometimes. It's not constant, but you'll notice it. The stairs up to the cottage are wooden steps, about eight or nine of them.
Par Beach is about ten minutes away by car. It's a good sandy beach. Charlestown is close too, maybe fifteen minutes. They've got the old tall ships in the harbour. The Eden Project is a short drive, about twenty minutes. Fowey is a bit further, maybe half an hour. Nice for a wander and something to eat.
Facilities: there's parking right there, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are provided. There's a washing machine available in an outbuilding if you need it. No pets, I'm afraid.
