Hayloft
This is the Hayloft. It's one of the cottages on a farm near Trecangate in Cornwall. It's part of a small group of places on the same land, a mix of stone cottages and a wooden lodge. You get there from the main road down a long private drive, it's pretty quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The main space is open plan.
You get a patio garden for yourselves. It's enclosed. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, a washing machine, and wifi. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
The place looks out over fields. You often see buzzards overhead and sometimes deer in the distance. It's a working farm, so there are goats, chickens, sheep, and a few others. The kids can help feed them.
On site there's a tennis court, a games room with a pool table and table tennis, and a play area. Porfell Animal Land is a short walk away if you want to see more animals.
The nearest beach for a proper swim or a walk is Talland Bay, about five miles. Looe is a bit further and has a sandier beach. For a good day out, the National Trust has lots of coastal spots nearby. The Eden Project is about a 30-minute drive. Fowey is lovely for a wander around the harbour and has some nice places to eat.
There's a shop two miles away, and a pub and restaurant about two and a half miles. You can park right outside the cottage.
