Tristan's is a first-floor flat in an old manor house wing, near Lostwithiel. It was the old nursery, I think. You get two bedrooms and it sleeps four.
The owners live in the main house. They're friendly and you can walk around the gardens. They've got acres of it, with all sorts of trees and plants. There's a pet wallaby somewhere out there, so no dogs allowed, sorry.
Inside, it's a comfortable sort of place. The kitchen is a decent size, farmhouse style. The living room looks out over the grounds and fields, right down to the River Fowey. The bedrooms are pretty, not huge. There's one bathroom.
The stairs to the flat are normal house stairs. Parking is right there on the drive.
It's a five-minute walk into Lostwithiel. It's a small town on the river, full of antique shops. There's a pub about half a mile away, and a shop a mile off.
You're close to some good things here. Restormel Castle is a ruin up on a hill, it's interesting. Lanhydrock is a National Trust house with massive gardens, that's about ten minutes by car.
The coast is about seven miles. Polkerris or Par Sands are your closest, but you can get to Fowey or St Austell Bay easily within half an hour if you want a bigger beach. The National Trust has a lot of coastal spots around here too.
Facilities are all there: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
