Below Deck
It's called Below Deck. It's in Fowey, down on the waterfront side of town. It's a one bedroom ground floor flat in a big old Georgian house. You get your own parking space, which is a big thing down here.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. Because it's the ground floor of an old house, the ceilings are a bit low in places. Nothing drastic, you just notice the beams.
You've got a little private terrace out the back. It looks out towards Place House and the church spire, and you can see a slice of the estuary through the trees. It's a sun trap in the afternoon.
The town centre and the harbour are literally two minutes downhill. All the shops, pubs, and restaurants are right there. It's steep coming back up, but there's a little community bus that runs if you don't fancy the walk.
If you want to get out, the South West Coast Path is on the doorstep. You can walk to Polruan and get the ferry back. The ferry over to Bodinnick is just down the hill too. For a day trip, you're about half an hour from the Lanhydrock estate, or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The Eden Project is maybe 20 minutes by car.
Inside, it's got everything you'd need. Washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
