Treen

The place is called Treen. It's a detached house in Lansallos, which is a small hamlet near Polperro in Cornwall.

It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. One of those bathrooms is a wet room on the ground floor, which is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating.

You can bring up to two dogs. There's a garden with a patio and a BBQ. It's got a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. For facilities, it has the things you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking.

The location is quiet. You're about a fifteen minute walk down a lane from Lansallos beach and the coast path. It's a proper cove, not sandy, but good for a swim if you're brave. The walk is through woods, so it's shaded.

The nearest shop and pub are in Polperro, about two and a half miles away. Polperro is a classic Cornish fishing village. It's got a sandy beach, places to eat, and you can go crabbing off the harbour wall. Looe is a bit further, maybe ten minutes in the car. That's a busier fishing town with more shops and restaurants.

If you head the other way along the coast, you get to Polruan. You can catch the foot ferry from there over the river to Fowey. Fowey is a nice day out, lots of little shops and cafes. They have a big regatta in the summer. The car ferry is at Bodinnick if you need it.

Within about half an hour's drive you've got quite a lot. The Eden Project is that way. Mevagissey is another working harbour. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are near there too.
