Penny's Cottage
Penny's Cottage is on the Cartole site. It's near Trenewan, which is inland from Looe. The site itself feels a bit like a farmyard, but you have your own outdoor space. It's quiet.
It's a two bedroom cottage, sleeps four. There's one bathroom upstairs. The cottage is grouped with a few others around a central area. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. The doors are a standard width and there's a ramp, so it's okay for getting a wheelchair in. Some of the doorsteps inside are a bit high though, so you'd need to check that.
The site is good if you have kids or dogs. There's a play area and a big field. We allow two dogs. There's a washing machine, WiFi, towels are included, and you can park right outside.
For a proper beach, you need to drive. Talland Bay is about 15 minutes away by car. Polperro and Looe are both within a 20 minute drive. Looe has the usual shops and a decent fish market.
If you want to do the bigger attractions, The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about half an hour away. Lanhydrock House is maybe 40 minutes.
