Sea View
This is Sea View in Porthallow. It's a detached cottage, whitewashed, up on the lane. You get a sea view from the front, as you'd guess from the name. It looks out over fields down to the cove.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The layout is all on one level, which is useful. The front door is wheelchair friendly and there's parking right there.
You're about a hundred yards from the beach at Talland Bay. It's got rock pools and is safe for swimming when the tide's out. There are two cafes on the bay. One does evening barbecues in summer, the other rents out kayaks.
For walking, the coast path to Looe or Polperro starts right there. Polperro is about two and a half miles along it. Looe is a bit further. Looe has a train station on the branch line from Liskeard, about three miles away if you're coming by rail.
The nearest proper shop is in Looe, so you might want to bring supplies or get a delivery. Tesco and Ocado deliver here. The Talland Bay Hotel restaurant is very close, about a hundred yards.
Within half an hour you can drive to the Eden Project. Plymouth and the edge of Bodmin Moor are about the same. Fowey is a short drive the other way.
Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can have a BBQ in the garden. No pets, sorry.
