The Old Farmhouse
The Old Farmhouse is in Pelynt, Cornwall. It's one of a series of cottages here on the farm. Specifically, this one is semi-detached. It sleeps nine, across five bedrooms, with two bathrooms.
It's a 4 Star place. It's comfortable and has been modernised, but it's an old farmhouse so don't expect everything to be brand new. The floors are a bit uneven in places, and some of the doors are low. It's full of character.
You can bring two dogs. The garden is yours to use and there's parking for several cars.
The farm is down some green lanes, a couple of miles from the sea. There's a pub and a shop about a mile away. Looe is roughly four miles for a proper seaside town. Polperro is a bit closer, about three miles. They're both classic Cornish fishing villages.
On the farm itself, there's animal feeding on weekday mornings if you want to get involved. The kids usually like that. It's a working livery yard too, so there are always horses and ponies about.
As part of your stay, you get free use of an indoor heated swimming pool a few minutes' drive away. There's also evening entertainment on site, with things for kids and adults. It's worth noting the pool isn't available in August, and the entertainment doesn't run from November to March. Some pool sessions have a small extra charge.
Other facilities: there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, WiFi, a washing machine, a TV, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
