This is Iolanda, in Polperro. It's a small, 18th century fisherman's cottage right in the middle of things. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
You're on a steep little lane right by the harbour. The front door opens onto the street, which is just how it is here. Inside, it's compact. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they turn and they're steep. You've got everything you need: a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, a TV.
The main thing is the back garden. It's a small, sunny terrace with steps up to it, and you look out over the rooftops to the sea. It gets the sun most of the day. You can sit out there with a drink.
You step outside and you're in the village. There are shops, pubs, and places to eat about a minute's walk away. The harbour is there. You can get boat trips or just watch the boats. The beach is tidal, so it comes and goes. The South West Coast Path goes right past for walks.
It's a good base. Looe is about five miles along the coast. The Eden Project is roughly half an hour's drive inland. Plymouth is about 45 minutes.
There's one parking space with the cottage, which is a real plus here. You don't really need the car once you've arrived. No pets, sorry.
