Stables

This is the Stables. It's a converted stone barn, part of two here on our land. It's detached from the other one, so you have your own bit. We're up from Millendreath beach, a few minutes' walk down a lane. The coastal path runs right past the gate.

The place is old, 17th century, so think low beams. Mind your head. Inside it's been done up to a decent standard, hence the 4 Star rating. Sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, so it's a good space for a couple or a small family. One bathroom, downstairs. There's full central heating.

You can bring one dog. The garden area is yours, but it's not fully enclosed, so you'd need to keep an eye on them.

Facilities are straightforward: parking right there, WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.

Location-wise, it's quiet here. The beach at Millendreath has a cafe right on the sand. Looe is a couple of miles along the coast. It's a proper working fishing town. The harbour's busy, you can buy fish off the boats, and there are plenty of pubs and places to eat. The main beach is sandy.

For walks, you just step onto the coastal path. To the west you can walk to Polperro, which is a very pretty old fishing village. To the east, Seaton beach is about a mile away, they have a pub there too. For a bigger day out, the Eden Project is about half an hour's drive. So is the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Plymouth, with the aquarium and shops, is about 45 minutes.
