Talland House
Talland House is in Polperro, right near the harbour. You're in the middle of the village. It's one of a pair of cottages, but you have your own front door and a little courtyard out the back.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all with their own shower rooms. There's an extra bathroom on the ground floor with a bath. The rating is 3 Star. It's comfortable and clean, not a show home.
The stairs are narrow and steep. They're cottage stairs. On the top floor, the twin beds are in the eaves, so watch your head if you're tall.
There's a small courtyard garden with a table. It's above the little river that runs through the village. You can sit out there with a drink.
You get one parking space, but it's about a ten minute walk away. You unload at the door, then take the car up. Everything else is on your doorstep. The shop, pubs, and places to eat are about 50 yards away.
Inside, there's a wood burner in the front room, a dining room, and a kitchen with what you'd need. Washing machine and tumble dryer are in the ground floor bathroom. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
If you're planning days out, the National Trust Cornwall page is useful. The South West Coast Path runs right past. Looe is about ten minutes by car. For a bigger town, Liskeard or St Austell are within half an hour.
