Kernewyck
This is Kernewyck, one of the cottages at Cartole. It's in Trenewan, which is inland from Looe in Cornwall. The place used to be barns and stables, so the cottages are grouped around a yard. They've been here a few hundred years.
Kernewyck sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The main building is old, so mind your head on some of the door frames.
It's a good spot if you've got kids or dogs. There's a play area with some equipment and garden games. The grounds are big and enclosed, so they can run around. We allow up to two pets.
You're a few miles from the coast here. Looe is the nearest proper town, about ten minutes by car. Polperro is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes. They're both fishing ports. Polperro is smaller and very picturesque. Fowey is a bit further north, maybe half an hour. That's a sailing town.
If you want a big day out, The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are within half an hour. The National Trust's Lanhydrock House is about 25 minutes away. For walks, the South West Coast Path is obviously all along the coast nearby.
The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the cottage itself isn't fully adapted inside.
