The Wheelhouse is an apartment in Fowey, high up in a Victorian house on the hill. Honestly, the best thing is the view. You get the whole sweep of the river out to the sea. That's why you book it.
It's two bedrooms, sleeps four. Two bathrooms, which is handy. Rated 4 Star. It's well looked after. The stairs are the thing. There are two flights of stone steps outside to get to the front door, then a few more flights inside. It's not for anyone who finds stairs difficult.
The living area is open plan. There's a big TV, but you'll probably just watch the boats. The kitchen has what you need: oven, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine. It's fine.
Fowey itself is down the hill. It's a proper little port town. Narrow streets, some good pubs and places to eat. You can get the ferry across to Bodinnick. The National Trust has a few spots nearby like Lanhydrock, which is about a 20-minute drive.
For beaches, Readymoney Cove is a small sandy one just down the hill in Fowey. Lantic Bay is stunning but it's a steep walk down from the car park, about 25 minutes drive away. Polperro and Looe are along the coast, maybe half an hour by car. Charlestown, with the tall ships, is about a 20-minute drive.
What's here? Wifi, TV, all the bedding and towels are included. There's parking. No pets. That's about it.
