Prideaux Cottage is near St Blazey in Cornwall. It's part of a group of three holiday homes on the Prideaux Estate. There's also Prideaux Farmhouse and a single-storey place called the Wagon House. The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a good standard. The facilities list is accurate. You'll have WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV and parking. Bedding and towels are included. It has a garden and a BBQ. You can bring one dog.
The location is rural. You look out over the Luxulyan Valley. It's quiet. The nearest shop is about a mile away, the nearest pub is about a mile and a half.
You can walk straight into the valley from the estate. The path goes under an old viaduct. It's a nice walk. For a longer route, the Saints' Way footpath starts in Prideaux Wood nearby. That goes from Fowey to Padstow.
By car, you're well placed. Fowey is about five miles. It's a proper harbour town with pubs, shops and boat trips. They sometimes spot dolphins. The Eden Project is very close, maybe a ten minute drive. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about twenty minutes away.
The south coast around here has lots of beaches and coves. Mevagissey is a fishing port nearby. For a bigger town, Truro is about a half hour drive. It's the main shopping centre for Cornwall and has the cathedral.
