Prideaux Cottage

Prideaux Cottage is near St Blazey, up on the edge of the Luxulyan Valley. You get good views out over the trees from here. It's part of an estate with two other holiday lets nearby, Prideaux Farmhouse and the Wagon House.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and comfortable. The entrance and main rooms are wheelchair accessible. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine.

You've got a private garden with a patio and a barbecue. Parking is right there.

The best thing is the location for walking. You can step out the door and straight into the valley. The path down through the woods, past the old viaduct, is really special. It's about a 15 minute walk to get into Prideaux Wood and pick up the Saints' Way. If you want the coast, Fowey is a 10 minute drive. It's a proper working harbour with pubs, cafes, and you can get boat trips from there. The National Trust in Cornwall has a lot of coastal walks mapped out.

The Eden Project is about five minutes away by car. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are maybe 15 minutes. Both are worth a visit. For a bigger beach day, the sand at Par is close, or you can drive to places like Carlyon Bay. Truro is 20 minutes for bigger shops.

There's a shop in St Blazey, about a mile away. The nearest pub is a mile and a half.

Facilities: everything listed is there. Bedding and towels are included. We can take one well-behaved dog. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
