Stable Cottage is one of three places here at Peregrine Hall, just outside Lostwithiel. It's a two-bedroom cottage that sleeps four. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a woodburning stove for cooler nights.
You have access to nine acres of grounds here. There are woodland walks and terraces. You can just sit out with a cup of tea if you prefer.
The cottage has two bathrooms, which is handy. There's parking on site, WiFi, and a washing machine. We can take one well-behaved dog. Bedding is included, and we have a cot and highchair if you need them.
Lostwithiel is about a quarter of a mile walk downhill. It's an old town on the River Fowey. There are some good pubs and restaurants, antique shops, and a little beach by the bridge. The riverside walks are nice. You might see a kingfisher if you're quiet.
For a day out, Lanhydrock is very close. It's a National Trust house with big gardens and woodland walks. Restormel Castle is nearby too, it's an English Heritage site. The Eden Project is about a 25-minute drive.
The south coast is about 20 minutes by car. Fowey, Polperro, and Mevagissey are all nice harbour towns. For the north coast, Padstow and Polzeath are within a 40-minute drive. The South West Coast Path is accessible from lots of these spots if you want a proper walk.
