Cloisters Cottage is one of three here at Peregrine Hall, just outside Lostwithiel. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The cottage is part of an old building. The main house has a history. It was a gun site in the Civil War, and later a refuge for women. You can read about it on a plaque. We've got about nine acres of gardens and woodland you can wander. There are terraces to sit on.
Lostwithiel town centre is a short walk down the hill. It's known for antique shops. There are a couple of good pubs that do food, some nice cafes, and a few little shops. The river runs through it, with a beach area by the old bridge. You can walk along the riverbank from there.
You're well placed for getting around. The Eden Project is about twenty minutes by car. Fowey and Polperro are roughly half an hour. The north coast, like Padstow, is a bit further, maybe forty-five minutes depending on traffic. The Camel Trail for cycling is easily reached.
A really good local day out is the Lanhydrock Estate, which is National Trust. The house and gardens are impressive, and there are proper woodland walks. It's only about ten minutes away. National Trust Lanhydrock.
Practical stuff: The cottage has a patio area, parking, wifi, and a TV. There's a washing machine. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's a shared indoor swimming pool on the estate you can use.
If you're looking at the other cottages here, Stable Cottage and Stable End, they can be booked together with this one for bigger groups.
