Cloisters Cottage

Cloisters Cottage is one of three places here at Peregrine Hall, just outside Lostwithiel. It's a one-bedroom cottage, sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating. The main thing is it's been done up nicely, it's comfortable.

The building used to be a sort of refuge, a long time ago. Then it was a laundry for the big house. The history is there if you're interested.

You've got about nine acres of grounds here to wander around. There are woodland walks on the hill behind the house. The terrace is a good spot, sunny. There's an outdoor swimming pool you can use.

The cottage itself is open plan downstairs. The kitchen's there, the living area. Stairs go up to the bedroom and the bathroom, which is en-suite. The shower is good. There's a washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.

You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside.

Lostwithiel is a five minute walk down the hill. It's an old town, known for antiques. There are a few pubs, some do food, and cafes. The River Fowey runs through it. There's a little beach by the bridge, nice for a picnic. You can walk along the riverbank from there.

If you want to go further, Restormel Castle is very close. The Eden Project is about a 30 minute drive. For a day at the beach, the south coast places like Fowey or Polperro are within half an hour. The north coast, Padstow or Polzeath, is more like 40 minutes. The Lanhydrock Estate is a ten minute drive, big house and gardens, lots of walking trails.
