Stable End
Stable End is a cottage for two people here on the edge of Lostwithiel. It's part of a larger old building that's been split into three places. You get your own front door.
It's a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. One bedroom, one bathroom. The main room is open plan, with a kitchen area and a wood burning stove. There's a TV and WiFi.
Outside, there's a patio area with a table and a BBQ. The big thing here is the grounds. You have access to about nine acres of gardens and woodland that belong to the main house. There are paths to walk. It's peaceful.
The town centre is about a fifteen minute walk downhill. Lostwithiel is known for antiques shops. There are a few pubs, cafes, and restaurants. The river runs through it, and there's a nice path along the bank. You can walk to Restormel Castle from here.
You're right in the middle of Cornwall for getting about. The south coast around Fowey is about 20 minutes by car. The north coast, like Padstow, is about half an hour. The Lanhydrock Estate is very close, that's National Trust. The Eden Project is maybe a 25 minute drive.
Facilities: everything on the list is here. Washing machine, parking, bedding included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's also a shared swimming pool on the estate, which is open in the summer. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
