The Old Sweetshop is on Fore Street in St Blazey. It's a terraced cottage, end of row. It used to be a shop that sold sweets. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One double room, one room with full-size bunk beds. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The cottage is narrow at the front but goes back a fair way. The kitchen is bigger than you'd think. There's a dining room and a living room with a sofa and a TV. The electric stove looks like a wood burner. The stairs are steep, like in most old cottages.
Outside, there's a garden at the back. It's on different levels, with some steps. There's a table and chairs. It's private and quiet. You park on the street a short walk away. There's a small Co-op about three minutes walk up the road.
It's a good spot for getting to things. The Eden Project is basically on your doorstep. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about ten minutes by car. Charlestown, with the tall ships and the Shipwreck Museum, is three miles away. St Austell, for bigger shops, is four miles.
The closest beach is at Par Sands, which is about two miles. If you want proper fishing harbours, Looe and Polperro are east along the coast, maybe half an hour's drive depending on traffic. The south coast footpath is accessible from several points nearby.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, a dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The bathroom has an electric shower cubicle. There's step-free access at the front door. No pets.
