Westaway Cottage is in Charlestown, just outside St Austell. It’s a terraced cottage, the middle of three. You get the back garden to yourselves, it's enclosed.
The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's kept to a high standard. The stairs are typical for a cottage, so a bit steeper than modern ones.
There’s an open fire in the living room. The kitchen is open-plan and has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine in the utility room. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on-site, right outside.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed but it’s not huge, so it’s fine for smaller dogs to have a sniff around.
The harbour is a couple of minutes' walk. There are two pubs that do food, and a few restaurants. The harbour itself is historic, you’ll probably recognise it from Poldark. There’s a small sandy beach there.
For a bigger beach, Carlyon Bay is about a twenty minute walk along the coast path. You can walk the other way to Porthpean or Pentewan.
By car, The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are about ten minutes away. Mevagissey is ten minutes, Fowey is about fifteen. Truro is half an hour.
